Datum Continues to invest significantly in cutting-edge e-commerce technology
AUCKLAND, Tuesday, 15th March 2011 – Datum Connect, one of New Zealand’s leading e-commerce web development companies, has signed a deal with DPS to become a Payment Express platinum reseller.
“This is significant recognition for Datum Connect, as it is now one of only four Payment Express platinum resellers in the country,” says Datum Connect founder and CEO Danny Ing.
DPS’ innovative payment solutions have been at the forefront of the Australian and New Zealand markets since 1997. Payment Express is a best practice system used to seamlessly facilitate electronic payments in real time, and has become a standard for e-commerce. It is the leading online credit card payment gateway provider in New Zealand.

Ing says the deal comes after many years of Datum Connect building up its e-commerce expertise. “Our first e-commerce site, nelsonandsimich.co.nz, went live in October 2003. Seven years later, their website is still up and running, and they are still a Datum Connect customer.”
“We’ve come a long way since then,” he says. “Since starting the company in 2002, we’ve built over a thousand websites, 350 of those being e-commerce sites.”
Ing says that Datum Connect is now making significant investments in the development of e-commerce in New Zealand. “By launching our new shopping cart platform PromotionalMatrix.com, we have made a firm commitment to creating highly sophisticated shopping carts to enable companies to compete globally with some of the best e-commerce shopping carts in the world.”
